The Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Imran Khan (Chairman, Al-Qadir University Project Trust) hosted a Plantation Drive on the 12th of March 2021, at the University campus, located at Sohawa, near Islamabad. The Plantation Drive was attended by key personnel from the Banking Sector and some other dignitaries.
The Plantation Drive marked the official inauguration of the campus of Al-Qadir University Project Trust. The Prime Minister sowed olive seeds at the designated area for Olive Orchards at the campus premises.
Thereafter, he delivered a short speech elucidating upon the vision and mission for the attendees. Al-Qadir aspires to be a centre of knowledge acquisition and dissemination for the next generation of thought leaders of the Muslim Umma. It seeks to inspire an Islamic Renaissance via a profound engagement between the Classical Islamic Tradition and the contemporary paradigms of knowledge and practice. The Dean, Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed and Convener, Dr. Arif Nazir Butt also briefed the guests about the proposed Departments and Degree offerings at the institution.
