Muhammad Numan is a Lecturer of English at the Department of Management Sciences in Al-Qadir University Project Trust, Sohawa, Jehlum. He is a former Visiting PhD Research Fellow at Asian and Middle East Studies Department, College of Liberal Arts, University of Minnesota (Twin Cities), Minneapolis, USA. He is the author of “Linguistics Detailed Introduction” published by Oxford University Press, Karachi in 2022.

Presently, he is PhD research scholar of English literature with specialization in South Asian literature at Department of English (GS), National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad. He did his MPhil English with specialization in Film Studies from International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2018. As a researcher associate, he has contributed to the two Higher Education Commission funded Projects: a) “Index of Research in Pakistani Languages and Literature” in the Department of Pakistani Languages, Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad; and b) “Digitizing Folk Wisdom: A project of collection, translation, and study of folk literature in major Pakistani languages” at the Department of English in the International Islamic University. Previously, as a visiting faculty member, he has also taught various courses of English language and literature at different departments in IQRA University, Islamabad Campus; National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad; Foundation University, Rawalpindi Campus; Riphah International University, Islamabad; International Islamic University, Islamabad; PMAS
Arid Agriculture University; and Government Gordon College, Rawalpindi.

He has presented his papers in national and international conferences. He recently presented is a part of his PhD project at the Department of Modern Languages, Aberystwyth University, Wales, UK on 21st June 2022. He also served as the member of organizing team at The Second international IIUI-UNCW conference in collaboration with University of North Carolina Wilmington, USA in 2017, as student coordinator of the International Conference of the Literary Society of Pakistan in 2019, and as member of the organizing committee of the 3rd International Workshop in Corpus Linguistics in collaboration with Lancaster University, UK in 2019.
