Dr. Zahoor Ullah is currently serving as a Professor and Head of Department at the Islamic Studies Department at Al-Qadir University Project Trust. He completed his Masters degree from Bahawalpur University and then moved towards the Jamia Al- Azhar for higher studies. There, he mastered the Arabic language and literature, Hadith, and Quran from renowned teachers of the subject.

After returning to Pakistan, he completed his PhD in Islamic law at the Punjab University Lahore on the topic:
“Children Rights— A comparative study of Islamic and Western law”
Dr. Zahoor began his journey as an instructor at Minhaj University, Lahore in 1992. There he served as the teacher and then as the Head of Department of the Islamic Studies Department. He introduced PhD in Islamic Studies program at the same institution and taught MPhil and PhD students for many years.
After gaining precious experience from Minhaj University, he introduced the “Islamic Studies Department” at the University of Lahore and taught at MPhil and PhD levels for a long time.
Uptil now, over fifty students have completed their MPhil, while six have accomplished their PhD, under Dr. Zahoor’s supervision, at the University of Lahore. He has authored more than 30 research articles that are published in national and international journals. Moreover, he has presented his papers at 15 conferences.
He’s the author of four books, while one of them, “Ilm il Meeras” has acquired a research certificate from HEC. He has also translated four Arabic books into Urdu.
He also served as the Editor of the HEC approved journal “Al-Tabayeen”, for three years. Currently, he is serving as an external examiner at various universities.
Dr. Zahoor Ullah’s key interests lies in Islamic law, but he also gained specialties in other concentrations including Hadith, Law of Inheritance and Methodology of Research.
His goal is to explore advanced knowledge and let it spread in every part of his country
