A trip was planned for the students of Al-Qadir’s pioneer batch to get them familiar with the concept of Incubation centers for startups and at the same time show them the efforts of Islamic Institutions in the form of setting up Libraries and Research Centers.
The first place of visit was National Incubation Center (NIC), Islamabad. Students were given a presentation on the opportunities available at NIC and the different start-ups it was already supporting. Mr. Parvez Abbasi, Project Director, NIC also interacted with the students and advised them about the necessary ingredients for a start-up to thrive and how can NIC support and polish their unique business ideas.
Later, they were taken to visit the Da’wah Public Library, operated by the International Islamic University, Islamabad and the four research centers within the library and how different types of research tasks are carried out there. Students also visited the guest house of the International Islamic University where many local and foreign dignitaries stay during their visit.
